I held my monthly team meeting today, and we had great fun learning how to use the new Tree Ring Dies and Hybrid Embossing Folder. I must admit I was challenged when learning how to use the dies with the coordinating hybrid embossing folder, but I figured it out so we could all create our cards successfully this morning.
I got my inspiration from a card created by Connie Babbert. I made some changes so I could make the card “my own”.

As you can see, everyone added their own special touch when they created the card – just the way it should be. When everyone was done they had a much better understanding of how these products work together.
I played around a little bit after I created my card by using a sponge dauber and white craft ink to highlight the leaves that were created when the Pumpkin Pie layer was dry embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Someone commented that this technique made the leaves look “frosty”.
One thing that surprised me was the pack of Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack. You get 50, yes 50, of the beautiful leaves. There are plenty to complete all of your fall and Thanksgiving cards! And the Amber Gems are beautiful!!
Products used for this card are:
- Stamp Set: Ringed With Nature
- Paper: Crumb Cake; Pumpkin Pie; Early Espresso; Basic White; Regals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Assortment (Cajun Craze); Glimmer 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper (Gold)
- Ink: Early Espresso; Cajun Craze; Pumpkin Pie; Old Olive on Carol’s card; White Craft on my card
- Other: Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder; Ringed With Nature Bundle; Simply Elegant Trim (Gold); Leaf Label and Amber Gem Combo Pack;Sponge Daubers; Dtampin’ Dimensionals; Tombow Multipurpose Glue; Glue Dots; Stampin’ Cut & Emboss
