I am sharing another card we made at my Creative Backgrounds class – this one using the Nature’s Harvest bundle. This bundle has been around for a while, but still has a contemporary feel. And who doesn’t love stamp sets that reflect the beauty of the nature that is around us?
I used a technique that has been around for a while. I love this technique using a brayer to apply ink to an embossing folder. I applied Garden Green ink to the logo side of the embossing folder, added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the folder, then ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. The result is a wonderfully detailed background for a card.
I own two different styles of brayers, hard rubber and sponge. I used the hard rubber brayer for this card, but either style would work. I was surprised to discover that Stampin’ Up! doesn’t carry brayers any more, but you can find them at any craft store. I accented the card with three white Classic Matt Dots, which I colored with the Bronze Stampin’ Blend.
Here is what I used to make this card –
