Easter and Spring

Something Old, Something New

Something old, something new!  One of the cards I made for Easter used current and retired products.  I happened to find a package of some gorgeous retired Designer Series Paper that I thought would be perfect for making Easter cards. When I saw the beautiful printed vellum sheets I wondered why I never used them while the product was current.  Better late than never, right?  Remember the Floral Romance Designer Series paper?  The paper pack used colors of Pear Pizzazz and Fresh Fig.  Fresh Fig is a retired In Color, and I still had some sheets of it in my stash, as well as some Fresh Fig ribbon and of course, the ink.  You might still have some of the retired products I used in your arsenal – why not pull them out and put them to use!

Products I used are:

  • Stamps: Timeless Tulips (sentiment); Positive Thoughts; Thoughtful Blooms
  • Paper: Fresh Fig (retired); Whisper White; Floral Romance Designer Series Paper (retired)
  • Ink: Fresh Fig (retired); Pear Pizzazz
  • Other: Stitched So Sweetly and Nature’s Thoughts Dies; Glitter Enamel Dots (these colors are retired); Small Bloom Punch (Sale-A-Bration); Fresh Fig 1/2″ Woven Ribbon (retired); Trio Punch (retired); Stampin’ Dimensionals

I really love the way my card turned out, and once I got started I was surprised how easily and quickly it came together. Stampin’ Up! products are timeless, which makes it easy to combine the old and the new.  What products do you have in your stash?  Maybe it’s time to go through your inventory and get creative with products you haven’t seen or used in a while!

Most of the current products I used are from the 2020 Occasions Mini Catalog.  If you want to purchase any of these products you can place an online order on my Stampin’ Up! store at http://www.donnabagwell.stampinup.net
