I started getting into the fall mood by making this card with the Frosted Forest Suite of products (Online Exclusive).
FROSTED FOREST CARD
I used the deciduous tree stamp, and colored it so it would appear to be getting ready to loose its leaves. The use of Blending Brushes and corresponding masks made this so easy. First I used mask #1 to color the trunk with Pecan Pie. Secondly, I used a light coat of Pumpkin Pie ink and mask #2 to start adding color to the lush foliage of the tree. Before removing the mask, I applied some Pool Party ink to pull in the blue from the Designer Series Paper. Lastly, I use a light coat of Cajun Craze ink and mask #3 to complete the coloring of the tree. Then I cropped the tree with the corresponding die.
A Nested Essentials die was used to cut out the front of the card base. I adhered the cropped leafless trees to the inside of the cutout, then glued a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card front. Lastly, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to secure the colored tree to the card. I added a sentiment, plus some bling, and my card was complete. I am pretty pleased with the result.
