I haven’t used the Textured Notes stamp set very much, and now I am wondering why. The images are so simple and versatile. Here is the card I designed using this set –

When designing this card I decided to use one of Stampin’ Up!’s new In Colors, Cloud Cover. This blue is very soft and pretty.
Stampin’ Up! has experienced a quality issue with Cloud Cover, so the Classic Stamp pad is not available to customers. But….there is a solution. The problem occurs because of a chemical reaction with the pad material. However, the color is true with the ink refills, watercolor markers and Stampin’ Blends. That means you can purchase a blank Stampin’ Spot and ink it up with a Cloud Cover ink refill – problem solved!
You may wonder about the piece of Designer Series Paper – where did it come from? I used a pattern from the Mixed Media Florals paper, and colored it with Stampin’ Blends. You could do this with any color you want to use.
The strip of Designer Series Paper was cut at 6″ x 2-1/2″, then trimmed after adhering to the card. The two Pretty In Pink strips are 6″ x 1/2″, then trimmed like the piece of Designer Series Paper.
Products I used to make this card are:
- Stamp Set: Textured Notes
- Paper: Basic Black; Cloud Cover; Pretty In Pink; Mixed Media Florals
- Ink: Memento Black; Watercolor Markers – Cloud Cover, Pretty In Pink, Soft Sea Foam
- Other: Low Profile Dots
This card took just minutes to make – perfect when you need somwthing quick and easy.
