I fell in love with the Soft Seedlings stamp set the minute I saw it in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog (you can find the stamp set on page 53). It is a DISTINKTIVE stamp set, which means that the stamps create different opacities in a single stamped image. This stamp set, along with the Painted Pheasant stamp set, can be easy to miss. It is only a stamp set – it is not part of a Suite or Bundle, and doesn’t coordinate with a die set or embossing folder. It is just a simple but beautiful set of stamps. Included with the main image are four greeting stamps, in a wonderful font style.
I made this card to send to a friend who recently lost her husband. I borrowed the idea from another demonstrator, but made a few changes to make the card my own.:
I used the Stamparatus to stamp the image, which allowed me to stamp it in Sahara Sand, then apply some Mossy Meadow ink to the stamp with a Sponge Dauber.to create a subtle variation of color to the image.
Products I used are:
- Stamp Set: Soft Seedlings #159905
- Paper: Sahara Sand, Basic White
- Ink: Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow
- Other: Stamparatus, Sponge Daubers, Tombow Multipurpose Glue. For the accent I used a stamp set that was retired years ago – I will never give up that set!
I hope you like the card as much as I do. You can purchase the supplies I used at my online store, http://www.donnabagwell.stampinup.net
