For the first time in ages I made and mailed my Easter cards in time for them to arrive before the holiday. I am usually a day (or more) late and a dollar short. I missed out on getting Stampin’ Up!’s Bunny Punch before it went on backorder. So instead I decided to make “spring” Easter cards instead using the Around The Bend Dies.
I had been wanting to use my Around The Bend dies, and decided to use them to make my cards. My inspiration came from Tammy Beard, who always makes lovely cards.
I once again used papers from the Dandy Designs pack. I let the colors from the Designer Paper decide what colors of cardstock I wanted to use for my cards.
The Around The Bend dies were perfect for creating the simple but unique card I wanted. The Around the Bend stamp set (#160648 for photopolymer) and Dies (#160649) are currently offered as a bundle (162383 for photopolymer – saving you 10%). They are being carried over into the new 2023 Annual Catalog but as separate items. I found a “Happy Easter” greeting for the inside of my card from a retired stamp set.
Here is what I used to make my cards:
- Paper: Mango Melody (this is a retiring color); Granny Apple Green; Garden Green; Calypso Coral; Petal Pink; Balmy Blue; Fresh Freesia; Basic White (for the inside)
- Other: A retired Embossing folder to add texture to the flowers; Wink of Stella; Iridescent Pastel Gems (perfect colors for my cards – Gold, Balmy Blue and Calypso Coral; Stampin’ Dimensionals; Tombow Multipurpose Glue
I hope you enjoyed my cards. The design is just one of many that you can create from the Around The Bend Dies. You can find the stamp set and dies plus some project ideas on page 35 of the 2023 Spring Mini Catalog.
