TRADITIONS OF CHRISTMAS

Aug 20, 2025 | Christmas, Holidays, Uncategorized | 1 comment

Today I am sharing a card made with products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite of products. These products can be found on pages 22-27 of the upcoming September through December 2025 Mini Catalog, which goes live on September 3rd.

You know Christmas will be here before you know it. It’s never too late to get started on making your cards.

When I saw the Designer Series Paper from this suite I fell in love. The designs use rich colors of red, green and blue, with pretty gold accents. This paper takes me out of my comfort zone for Christmas cards – I normally use designs the include trees, greenery or snow, but I just couldn’t resist these products.

Because there is a lot of gold in the paper, I wanted to create a layer of gold on my card but hesitated to use a full sheet of it. My solution was to make smaller layers of the gold foil (2″ squares) to place under opposing corners of the DSP. I was happy with the result.

The beautiful paper really does all the work for you. I decided to “keep it simple” with the additions of my greeting and embellishments.

The suite includes two stamp sets, Traditional Labels and Christmas Greenery, which despite its name, has floral images; the backside has non-floral designs. Two sets of corresponding dies are also part of the suite. Also included is a large Wreath 3D Embossing Folder, Real Red 1/2″ Shiny Ribbon, and colorful Traditional Sparkling Sequins in shades of red, green, blue and gold.

I used the Traditional Labels stamps and dies for my greeting. The ribbon is the Secret Sea ribbon (one of the new In Colors) found in the 2025 Annual Catalog. After adhering it to the back of the die cut piece I adhered everything with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three of the Real Red Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added for the embellishments.

You may notice some texture on the card base. I cut a piece of Secret Sea cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, then dry embossed it with the large Traditional Wreath 3D embossing folder. It was adhered to the Secret Sea Card base.

Here are the products I used –

Stamp Set: Traditional Labels

Paper: Secret Sea, Basic White, Traditions of Christmas 12″ x 12″ DSP, Gold Foil

Ink: Secret Sea, Real Red, Old Olive

Other: Traditional Labels Dies, Traditional Sparkling Sequins, Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder, Secret Sea 3/8″ Faux Linen Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Multipurpose Glue

So, get ready. You can order these products plus many others on September 3rd. It is easy to place an order – just click on donnabagwell.stampinup.net
