Spooky Halloween is one of the new Halloween-themed Suite of products (#166205) in the Online Exclusives store. The Suite includes a darling stamp set, dies, Designer Series Paper (DSP), Iridescent Treat Bags (you get 20), Petunia Pop Iridescent 1/4″ Ribbon, and Shimmer Star Foam Stickers (they come in white, black and purple). The DSP includes a sheet of punch-out tags which are perfect for using with the treat bags, and the backside of the paper sheets have pretty subtle designs. The DSP also has a sheet of scenes, which can be cut to create a layer for your cards (makes for a quick and easy card!). I used one of these scenes on my card – isn’t the black kitty in the window too cute?
Those who know me know I love Halloween. I usually make spooky Halloween cards, but I thought this suite of products was so cute I couldn’t resist. The large cat image is so cute! After coloring her with Stampin’ Blends I cut her out with a die, then used the broom stamp so she had something to sit on.
The bats were cut out of Basic Black cardstock. I used Wink of Stella to give them some sparkle, then adhered them with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped in Basic Black on Basic White, then colored with a Blending Brush. I used a tip from another demonstrator for the greeting piece. I grabbed my dies from the More Messages bundle and cut out a piece of Basic White to make blank shapes to stamp my greetings on. I was able to find a small shape that was perfect for the “Spooky”.
The Shimmer Star Foam Stickers were perfect for additional accents. And because they are made from a soft foam your projects should go through the mail without extra postage.
Wouldn’t the little kids in your life love to receive this card? And sending one to the adults in your life would surely bring a smile to their face.
