The Prairie Grass stamp set can be the perfect set for creating your Autumn cards. Autumn/Fall is my favorite season of the year, and as it draws closer I’m seeing some leaves beginning to change color. I don’t smell the crispness of the air yet, but it isn’t far away.
Here is a card I made as I begin my switch from summer cards to fall –

The Prairie Grass stamp set is in the Online Exclusive store. You can check it out when you log onto my Stampin’ Up! store here.
I wanted the prairie grass image to really stand out, so I needed a simple background. To accomplish this I colored Block E with Stampin’ Blends, covering as much of the block as I could. I used light Granny Apple Green, light Lemon Lolly and light Balmy Blue. Once my block was covered with the ink, I spritzed it with 91% rubbing alcohol, then applied the block to a piece of Basic White cardstock. I firmly rubbed the block with my hand to ensure all of the ink transferred to the paper. I have to admit this took me a couple of tries until I was happy with the result (practice makes perfect).
Once the paper was dry, I stamped the prairie grass image using Early Espresso ink.
Next, I adhered a piece of the new Irregular Weave Trim to the side. This is a very open weave ribbon, so I put a small strip of Tear and Tape on the top and bottom of the back side of the cardstock and secured the ends of the ribbon to it. I love the casual look that the ribbon added to my card.
I stamped my greeting on white cardstock, then cut it out using the Textured Notes die; I mounted the greeting on a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock, then trimmed it to fit.
The finishing touch was the addition of a Tiny Bee trinket.
I am going to have fun playing with this stamp set – I just love the simplicity of it.
